Boca Ascencion is a shining example of how a heavily polluted area can be given back to nature. Nicknamed "Plastic Bay", it used to be full of trash washing ashore. Thanks to several hefty clean-ups and continuous maintenance, it now is a true safe haven for sea turtles. Maintained by Stichting Uniek Curacao.
